Message from the Chairwoman
Since its inception in 1994, IBWG has grown steadily and firmly, to the success story that is enjoyed by the wide membership spectrum it represents today. A quarter of a century of phenomenal growth is attributed to the leadership's absolute commitment to do whatever it takes to achieve success in our mission. The journey was long and there were many setbacks. But we embraced the positive and neutralized the negative, never allowing an obstacle to hurdle our growth and success. We listened, especially to the youth and we took notice of the changes around us. We sought advice from the experienced, looked for new avenues for our members to enhance their opportunities
at the work place, and bridge the gender gap in equal pay. And all along, we stayed true to our vision for our most precious assets, our members.
A group like ours is very important for professional; we provide an excellent networking platform to meet likeminded women and men, from various nationalities and backgrounds, share experiences, and learn from each other. Women empowerment is not solely a feminine issue; it is something that we need to work on together, with our partners in life and at the workplace. The revolutionary decision to open our membership to men was a turning point highly appreciated by both genders.
We are strong with our dynamic team; that also includes our own ambassadors, the men and women who carry the IBWG brand and have been supporting the group over the years. Our partnership with other leading business groups and entities in the UAE and abroad has been an added bonus. Such collaborations are manifested in organizing many important events such as our annual International Women's Day commemoration As a Chairwoman of this group, I'm extremely proud of our achievements so far.
We are moved by the trust of our increased number of corporate sponsors, and the knowledge that we inspire our members. We do have big plans, new exciting initiatives for the future, but we need more of you to join us in order to achieve them.
